Mr. Labi Akere, the managing partner of the law office is a seasoned and dynamic Attorney with over 28 years of experience both in the United States and Nigeria. Mr. Akere has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of Immigration law, Criminal Defense, Civil and Family law matters. He uses his extensive background to provide critical and effective analysis of client matters, setting the stage for informed decisions and results. Mr. Akere being an Immigrant himself understands the travails of migrating to another Country, hence he fights relentlessly for the rights of his immigration clients from the Department of Homeland Security to the District Courts until Justice is achieved. He has in depth understanding of immigration governmental processes both nationally and globally and provides practical business immigration solutions for international investors, corporations, students and university clients.

Mr. Akere is also a criminal defense trial lawyer, skilled at identifying and analyzing key issues with a view to getting the best possible outcome of the case during both Jury and Bench trials. Mr. Akere is known for his compassion, strategic thinking and diligence in representing his Divorce clients. Mr. Akere was called to the bar in 1986, after graduating from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria. He practiced law in Nigeria, until he relocated to the U.S.A in 1995. He became licensed by the State Bar of Texas in November 1996 and founded Akere & Associates in 1996. He is licensed to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas and he is a member of Dallas and Texas Bar Associations. Shola M. Akere: Ms. Shola M. Akere is a partner in the law office. Ms. Akere graduated with a B.A. Honors, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1989. Thereafter, she graduated from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1997. She became licensed to practice law by the State of New York in 2000 and is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas since May, 2001. Ms. Akere is a member of the American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Nigerian American Lawyers Association. Ms. Shola Akere was called to the State Bar of Texas in 2001 and currently practices in Texas and New York.

Ms. Shola Akere focuses her practice on Immigration law, Consumer law and Personal Injury. Ms. Akere has successfully represented clients in a diverse array of immigration matters including, but not limited to securing non-immigrant visas for Students, Religious workers, Performing artists, temporary workers, H-1B, PERM permanent residence and green cards for acclaimed scientists, professors and researchers, religious workers as well as graphic designers, international performers, artists and athletes in processes such as P-1, P-3, O-1, J-1 visa waivers, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, EB-5 and national interest waiver cases.

Ms. Akere represents families to assure that they are united with their loved ones including spouses to US Citizens, fiancé visa, K-1, K-3 visa, immediate relatives as well as children, sons and daughters of permanent residents and siblings of US Citizens. In addition Ms. Akere ensures that those who have suffered any form of domestic violence are adequately restored in the society under the VAWA laws. Ms. Akere represents clients with naturalization applications, especially cases that involve criminal history and good moral character that may affect approval or result in deportation.
